Rockford fosgate amp stuck in thermal mode???

hey guys i have a p2002 amp in my car and a few days ago while i was washing it, i had music on but the bass was turned all the way down, and i heard a little tick while i was drying down the rear of the car, after i tried putting up the base but nothing, so i checked the amp, fuse was blown, i replaced it, still nothing, the only light thats on is the thermal light!!! i checked all wires, made sure that they had good connections, i think theres a reset procedure for it but i have no idea, i checked what it said in the manual and nothing worked, do i have to open it up or something???
thanks
jay
