Sony XM2002GTR Amplifier Anyone Have one?
 

I just blew the board on my amp and need a new one. Does anyone have the Sony XM2002GTR? And how is it? Any complaints???

open it up and post exactly wat blew in there.

Right at the fuse on the baord.. it's all melted. As soon as I put in a new fuse, it pops within .2 seconds.. Going to take a pic. brb Damn Batt just died, give me awhile.

can u take pics of the other side of the board?

On the other side of where the fuse was? Or at the other end where the RCA's plug in?

Well forget that idea.. it's toast.. So I'll be looking at JL, JBL, Rockford they have some pretty sweet amps on Ebay for under $300 shipped with Warranty..There is one JL that I like and has 500W RMS.. too many amps..

go jl have one and have never bin happier with an amp in my life

Good to know. Question how many subs are you running? And what amp is it? I have 2 400W 10" subs and was thinking around 500W RMS, a class-d mono amp, as I bridge the 2 subs together onto one channel.

i have 3 10 inch subs and i'm running 500rms i'd recomend going with the slash series

Nice just ordered one. $360US shipped..I might have to buy bigger subs, I only have 800W peak, i have a feeling this amp will end there life lol If I had the cash I'd go with a pair of 10W7's with the box made for the E36 from JL.

w7's are kick ass but made more for quality......from the shows i've bin to and cars i've listened to w6's are louder and still have amazing sound quality. I have that box for the e36 it looks amazing. I also have the trunk lit up in blue neon and my amps custom mounted to a piece of carpeted mdf that i mounted on the roof of the trunk

500/1 will be to small to pwr a pair of 10W7's.
also the 500/1 pwr is under rated and its overpriced.
it usually benched @ 575MS-669RMS @ 14.4V/4ohms
which is more then enough to blow ur current subs if u have the right wiring.

BTW if u wanna give the sony amp away, ill gladly take it off ur hands.
