I am looking for a set - but I need the OBD1 style. Anybody know what is involved in changing these? Is it the same as for stock headers - fill in a screw and weld up the slot between the ports (as I recall)?

I am sorry, I am not a potential buyer but just want to know what they are used for...

I mean what is the purpose of headers?

thanks in advance

sthomas, yes you can just weld up the 2 holes. I can do it for you if you like. I also have new gaskets as well.

let me know.

summit425 headers replace your stock exhaust manifolds which are more restrictive. the headers flow more air which makes more power.

Great headers and a great seller. Who ever buys these wont be disapointed.

I had these headers on my 2.8. Great headers, design and overall improvement.

thanks guys!

I can still send them back but I thought someone would maybe like to save 2-300 on a really nice set of headers....

Just a matter of plugging up the O2 ports (and any other open bungs). Should bolt right up otherwise.
