FuryriderX's '88 325iX

Picked up the car ~a month ago now (wow time flies).
Just recently found out how rare these cars were (~27000 ever built) - very close to the m3 (~15000 or so built) compared to the normal 325i (couple hundred thousand, pretty sure)
The '88 4-door is even more rare, in that they were only ever imported to canada (not the US). Pretty sure that there were only about 350 '88 4-doors brought over. Thats pretty freakin uncommon. If anyone knows better figures, please feel free to correct me.

Anyways; current mods:
All-red taillights
Smoked sidemarkers (one didnt turn out so good *uzi* )
Eyebrows
Dinger delete
H&R front, e30m3 rear springs on Koni yellow top-adjustable shocks
(i know its a bit of a ricerish list, but i have no $$ to do more intense work, yet)

Planned:
MarkD 91 or 93oct chip, e36m3 injectors, m30 afm + cone filter

Whaddayathink?

car looks good, but not felling the rims AT ALL, a nice set of rims would set it of nicely

JMW 04-04-2007 12:07 AM

throw some deep dish euro rims on that bitch...
like some bbs rs...or something with a lip
then it would be sick ....on som stretched tires...slam it
DONE

Chris de la Cruz 04-04-2007 10:13 AM

an 'is' lip would set if off perfectly.

windsor318is 04-04-2007 10:59 AM

nice....pic up some cheap basketweaves for now, rims are killing it
i have an IS lip sitting around if youd like it

JUS_CRZN 04-04-2007 03:46 PM

Nice car.

P.S. you kind of look like Napoleon Dynamite in the first picture.

Decided to update, with some new pictures.

As you can see, some of the advice was taken (iS lip, mtech2 rear valence). i sold the rims, and im gonna be running on bottlecaps till i find some rims worthy to be on my ride.

What do you all think of the 2-tone color scheme? it was unintentional (that trunk already had the holes for the spoiler, the rear valence was black from fil.)

If i continued it, id put a black hood and perhaps even paint the sunroof black.

Please dont crap on the thread, if you think it sucks, say so, but say why. Thanks everyone!

Can you take a picture of the rear wheel well? I just want to see how the valence fits

Looking good!

how's that?

not fitting to perfection right now cause my bumper is a little bit crooked, and the valence only has one screw in the upper forward part. pretty darn good nonetheless.

lookin good

Shit, looks a lot better then mine, body shop guy says he couldn't mount it any further in, and now the wheel well doesn't line up :(

I'll see what the next shop says :D
