Looking for a supercharger + info
Alright, I bought my M3 and i think i am going to be supercharging it.
What, if any, supercharger kits would be best suited for this beast? *angel* Do you know anyone with one for sale? *wave* |
what year M3? S/C that come to mind is AA or RMS, you should also ask this in the Force Induction section
|
Honestly, if you have the money, pick up a twin screw. Both AA and Eurosport make twin screw kits for the M3. You can thank me after the first time you floor it.

99 m3
Thinair, How much am i looking at, roughly, for one of those? |
I think the twin screw goes for about $8000. I sounds sick and has instant power.
|
Thinair is right, twinscrew is the way to go, here's the info from AA website http://www.activeautowerke.com/super...e36m3/main.php
|
I'm personally a fan of the Eurosport model

im soooo close to ordering one ;)
|
is there a canadian place to buy one so i dont have to pay huge duties?
|
one last question, when it comes to the flywheel, pressure plate, etc and im fairly good to go with what is there (stock parts) or would those pretty much fry under the load?
I dont intent to beat the hell out of the car either ;) |
Well, speaking strictly numbers, the eurosport makes about 30rwhp more then the AA stg 2. Although appearently the AA makes power a little earlier.
I've followed the development of this blower for a very long time now. It's been tested hard, at long track events for example. One guy with an ZM3 has already logged countless miles and has yet to have an issue. There is also talk of a 2.3L compressor for stage 2 versus the 1.7L for more power. I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with either one right now, and they're both on sale. You're looking at about $8500CDN plus install right now. |
Thanks for the info thinair,
I think i will probably go with the Eurosport one if i do SC the car. I gotta talk to rocco and see what he would charge to install the kit as well as see if i can get a friend to bring the shit across the border for me. Hopefully they can give me the same deal in a few days |
joe, you're taking me for a spin as soon as this is all said and done for.
If you need more reviews of the eurosport kit, check out bf.c. from what i've read, they're almost exclusivley all in praise of it. |
