M5 3.8 TT motor dynoed, 1422 hp
 

VS MOTOR has dynoed his latest project, a S38B38 twinturbo. On enginedyno it made 1422hp / 1610nm @ 2,3bar.

What's up the goate? And the welded up intercooler?

The "welded up intercooler" is a air/water type. They are much more efficient than air/air.

The head is off an S38B36. Perhaps it was bored/stroked to 3.8 but that was originally a 3.6. The valve cover definitely is, and I don't think they bold on the 3.8.

Who needs cams right? I guess they're just mocking up for the tubing/mounts etc.

VS did dyno a TT 3.6L for ssperformace a few weeks ago. That one made 1048hp / 1055nm on the enginedyno. :)
