test drive a 545I

My buddy is going to let me drive is new 545I with the SMG tomorrow. How does this work? do I just go by the revs and push the + button to change gears and the - to gear down. I assume it will not be difficult. I am a little nervous it being someone elses car and snow/slush on the roads. :D

That's basically it.

Get used to it before you start pushing it, because it is a little different and you'll be looking at the dash a lot for the first part. You'll feel the gas is touchy and remember it's exactly like manual, you will roll back and you can blow up the engine/tranny. :D

You can just set it to Automatic mode and not worry about switching gears....
