*** BMWCC fun rallye (Sunday Sept 19th) ***
Fun Rallye “Picture Perfect Observation”.

BMWCC would like to formally invite maXbimmer members to their annual fun rallye taking place on SUNDAY, SEPT 19th. Start location at TIM HORTON's plaza, Hyde Park Gate Blvd & Dundas (across Famous Players SilverCity Mississauga, 1 light east of 403). Registration opens at 9:00am and closes at 9:59am… first car away 10:00am. Fee per car: $20.00

The event consists of a challenging, navigation-filled preplanned route through 130km of scenic Niagara Escarpment countryside ending at Casey's Restaurant (Trinity Common, Brampton) for lunch & refreshments. The task for this rallye is to find the locations of the numbered photos provided and write down those numbers beside their appropriate sections on the instructions. You will also be given specific questions which can only be answered by reading certain roadside billboards/signs. The key to winning the event is having a watchful eye…. Not about speed. Please obey all posted speed limits, you will be given a time limit (TBA) to complete the route.

This event is normally reserved for BMWCC members only. An exception was made this year by the Trillium Executive to allow maXmembers to join in without membership requirements. Please note that on the registration form, maXmembers are to put “maXBimmer” under the BMWCC membership number.

Lets get a list of maXBimmer members interested in participating on Sept 19th. I ask that you honour your RSVP by attending since provisions will be arranged for the head count at lunch. I also need to know how many cars (not people) are participating for adequate package distribution.

NOTE: I have personally, carefully designed this entire route. I CHALLENGE ANYONE TO GET PERFECT THIS TIME!!! last Rallye we had an 5-way tie for 1st place... NOT GONNA HAPPEN PEOPLE! trust me... bwahahaha

Im in as a passenger.

Is it $20 per car or per person? I wouldnt mind being the shit slinging sidekick for some adventurous driver.

Justin e36 09-09-2004 04:40 PM

90% in... sounds like fun. either as driver or shotgun...

EMPOWERD 09-09-2004 04:41 PM

It's $20/car... makes sure you team up with someone that's good at reading directions and has a watchful eye for the many objects you have to take note of. No time to play with radio stations or talk on the cellie.

The last one was really good, but as mentioned it was pretty easy hence the 5 way tie......

You definately need a sidekick/navigator, i didn't have one, but lucky BigD was able to help me out.

I would do it again this time cus it was fun, but i have work.
