E39 5-Series guys... help!

I need a pic of all the E39 steering wheels available!

what controls do you guys have on your steering wheel?
are all E39 steering wheels heated?
do the controls work with aftermarket decks?

Does anybody have a picture of the bottom of an E39 wheel? I am curious to see how it connects.

didn't you see mine Miguel, the one I have is heated, has cruise control, sound system controls, and phone control, it's kinda big which I don't like, you can also get the same one I have with wood on it, but you lose the heated function, or you can get the M wheel, it's a 3 spoke design and has all the same functions except the heated function
I don't think these controls can be used for aftermarket decks

I know there was a module to use E46 wheel controls, not sure if it also works on E39's. Search the web, you'll find it.

Mine is also as indicated by Quack.

If you want to operate an aftermarket stereo with the stock wheel you need an after market steering wheel interface that uses the steering wheel functions with an aftermarket head unit.

Any car audio install shop should be able to get you the unit.

Miguel,
you headed in the e39 direction?

interesting, I never knew you could keep the radio controls!
naw, im not considering an E39 right now.. my insurance rates on something like that could put a family of 20 through college.

I was just wondering if an adapter could be machined to fit an E39 wheel in an E34.. Im interested in adding functionality to my car as opposed to performance.

im just dreaming of building the ultimate touring E34.
