Lower control arm bushings
 
Today when I went to get some tyres fitted to my car, the guy at the shop that does the alignment, tells me he cannot do the alignment on my car, cause my lower control arm bushings is too worn, and if he does alignment, he will just screw the alignment up more. Well I suspected my lca bushings to be worn, for sometime now, just have not gotten around to replacing them, guess I am going to have to do it now. While I am down replacing the lca bushings I might aswell replace anything else down there, that needs replacement, so any suggestions?

You should also make sure that your BALLJOINTS are in nice working order, and if you have not replaced those for a while, you should do that as well!

I have similar symptoms as you, and my sway bar links are also a little worn!

1. Get offset control arm bushings - 95 M3
2. Might as well replace Control Arms with E30 Steel arms - come with heavier duty balljoints
3. Inspect your tie rods - worth replacing if they haven't been done yet
4. While your at it, I'd attack the rear trailing arm bushings with 96+ M3 units and Ground Control Spacers
5. Like Kev said, sway bar links are worth checking out

As opes said, definately get offset bushings. You'll get more caster, more caster = more straight line stability at speed.
