m20 turbo, oil line question?

where would be the best place to drill for the oil intel and oil outlet for a turbo going up on exhaust side?

SpoolinS6 02-04-2004 09:36 PM

man dont drill nothing
what u want is a line for the return and entrance for the oil right
then drill a whole in the oil pan and weld on a fitting
and connect the line for the intlet for the turbo to you oil pressure switch and ur all done no need for drilling except the oil pan !

im confussed after reading that. ok, there is a in and a out for the oil on the turbo, the out connects with the hole im putting in the oil pan and the in is sonnected to the oil pressure switch, is that right, what and where is the oil pressure switch?

SpoolinS6 02-05-2004 02:53 AM

theyre are 2 connections for an inlet and and outlet for the turbo oil supply
the outlet goes to the oil pan and the inlet goes to the oil pressure switch
im prettty sure your bimmer will have a pressure switch !

ok, ill have to look around for the oil pressure switch, i dont know where is it, maybe i do though. i just dont have a name for it, but thanks for the help.

Its mostly called the oil feed line, and oil return line. Do what the others said. The oil pressure sensor, for the feed line is under the oil filter housing, and is screwed in to the block can't miss it.

do it like your 800hp e30, with dual turbos. i cant believe that your having problems after building your secert e30, WITH TWO (2), yes TWO TURBOS! weld some steel to the aluminum, you said you could do that. or just pic up a book called maximum boost by corky bell (that is real unlike your m3).

Skunk#1 02-05-2004 06:36 PM

post pics of your e30 m3 with 800hp or admit that its fake and you were lying.

Skunk#1 02-05-2004 06:39 PM

i just though of something, you were going to swap an "e" head with an "i" head because you didnt have that much money and now you are building a turbo motor?! whats up with that? this is lame, i still wanna see pics. (dreams arn't real and you cant tell people that you have stuff you dream about, that is seriously uncool.)

Why don't you just by some t's for the inlet/outlets by the oil cooler if you have an i - otherwise just buy an i oil adaptor. I thing it'll look much cleaner and be easier to install etc...

objec 02-05-2004 08:24 PM

th e30 m3 turbo(s) have their own oil pan with pump and external cooler, i did not drill into the motor, same with my others.

and i never wanted to swa p anything, i was just wondering if it would work and if anyone has done it. thats all, i did explain that earlyer.

Skunk#1 02-05-2004 11:21 PM

"i did explain that earlyer," objec.

not in this post. why don't you just make a post called, "i am lying and dont have the e30 m3 with 800hp and i am dreaming of what is possible so if anyone has time please resond to my questions that i should understand after building an 800 hp e30 m3, with which my friend who helped me can't because of reasons unknown."
