take out the rad.. change your rad fluid while your at it. remove the condensor bottle.. remove the lines, take out the ac rad and fan.. un bolt the compressor and any un-needed brackets that hold it there.. should shave off about 50 lbs to 60 lbs

doing this gives you anymore power ? i was thinking of doing this too . or by will just removing the belt work the same way ? can you fit a belt driven turbo in this spot ? just some things i was looking at and thinking about . thanks

damn, sounds complicated ill have to get mechanic to do it for me unless someone wants to gimme a hand :)

and it gives more power indirectly by making the car lighter

i'll do it for some $$$

you gotta drain the CFC at a shop, unless you want me to do it the non-environmental way :)

lighter weight, better cooling, less belts. you might notice a difference... but resale of the car will suffer, and it won't go back in very easly.

Jase: i have lines but the one right by the rad is cut... could be re fitted with a pipe fitting.. but they are solid from what i know.

crazyvadim 01-02-2004 01:47 PM
