M3 LTW Replicas Silver/gunmetal?

Hello all.
I have a set of M3 LTW replica 5 spoke wheels, that need to be refinished.
My question is this, should I have them redone in the original silver color? Or should they I have them done in gunmetal with/without a polished lip?
Can this even be done?

My 325 is black, and I am wondering what you guys think?
Thanks for your opinions :)

Do you have pictures of your car and rims? I can photoshop them for you. I personally like the look of gunmetal with or without the polished lip on a black car.

It says in the FAQ to click the browse button, but I only see that under the new thread menu?

they look nice when LIGHTLY polished

Look like good rims, but if they're REAL lightweight rims, keep em the way they are, they're too rare!
Otherwise, ALL POLISHED would look nice!

Sadly they are not authentic LTW wheels. So they are regular alloys not the lightweight forged wheels. : )

I like those wheels in the polished finish, looks really sharp, especially at night. If they were other style, then go for it, but that design was meant to be visible.

You all will have to excuse my ignorance, but when I go to get them done, how would I ask for them to be polished?

The issue with them now, is that there is white stains that wont come off with polish. Im guessing someone used an acid cleaner or other strong cleaner on them and that is what has streaked them in this way. (Used to see this alot when I worked at Nissan)

I think polished is the way to go, and I like the contrast on the black. (needs to be repainted, including side sills and what have you).

Who, i got a little bit babbly there but either way, so how would I request for them to be repolished? Or does my question supply the answer?

thanks for the opinions by the way:)
