E30 spark plug choices.......??

Well, I went to the $tealer today to see what is OEM equipment in terms of spark plugs for my e30 325e........
It is a Bosch single prong sprak plug, $7.88/each.......I am going to change them tommorrow and was thinking of going to a bosch platinum single prong spark plug.....I have the bosch platinum 2's in my e36 and they are great plugs....
I have heard if you go with 2's or 4's with the e30 it can cause some engine problems........
Anyone changed theres and what kind did you use?
Thanks
Jay

My mechanic recommends NGK's for my car. 3 bucks each, and they work perfectly.

Bosch W8DC - are recommended. Don't get platnium ones. Only problem I can think of with the W8DCs is that if you don't get a good drive in they wear a little quick.

Go OEM or go home. Bosch... screw the +2 +4 platinum crap. If it works good for you, if not the results could include hesitation, misfiring, etc.

Is it worth the risk? just PM Bimmersport and get OEM plugs from him, Im sure he can do better than $7 each.

I agree with this %100 ....screw the platinum plugs!

Doesn't make any sense because wouldn't one HOT spark be better then 2 or 4 weak sparks? or does the current run to the closest prong?

I just know that the plug has to operate at a specific temp. to be most effective that's why it's best to use original plugs. NGK or Bosch depending on engine.

I just thought I would ask, because on my e36 the plugs that came out were NGK 4 prong plugs and I put the bosch platinum 2's in and I think the car runs much better with them.......

I guess I will stick with the stock plug, it is an older engine and I don't want to do anything to jepordize the way it runs....
Thanks guys for the info
Jay

yeah they were just 4 each at the dealer on leslie... maybe you need different ones cuz its an eta? and trust me if you feel you need new plugs, get them right away...i noticed a HUGE difference in starting, idle smoothness, and overall driving smoothness

Yeah, I am going to get some....I called BMW of mississauga and they said it was around $4 bucks for each plug.......I swear to god, I ****ing hate Budds, I have bought so many parts from them, I bet I have been over charged....
That dealer has pissed me off for the last time, I am writing a letter to BMW Canada telling them of all my bad experiences there. I am PISSED!
