Taking off badges
whats the best way to shave the model badges off the trunk? without hurting the paint? and what about pin stripping can i shave that off to while i am at it?
|
most people are saying to use a teeth/tooth floss (or whatever u spell it) or even fishing line. once it's off use wax to clean the area.
about the other thing i don't even know what u mean. my english still sucks as u can see but u get the idea. |
if they are the kind that are held on with tape then I recommend you use a hair dryer to heat up the whole area and get the glue soft... then you use dental floss to get the badge off... then use something like goo-gone to remove the residue, then make sure to put a couple layers of wax over the area.

for the pin stripes just wait till a really hot day in the summer and then peel them off!!!
|
so the pin strip comes on with heat, could i use the blow dryer to simulate a hot summer day? it will not pull off my paint or anything will it??
|
better pin striping is painted on, not stickers. so you cant just peel this off.
