17'' BMW Style 5's on an E36 off an E39

Hello everybody, I know there is probably a hundred threads similar to this but,
I'm thinking of picking up a set of BMW Style 5 rims they came off of a E39 540i, they currently have tires on them and the measurements are 235/45/17 I am aware that the hub size for an E36 is 72.6 and an E39 is about 71.4, my question is will I need spacers & extended bolts for my E36 or could I just bolt them on and go? My E36 currently has 225/50/16 on it. Thanks!

Bump!

Careful... The offset is very different and they will stick out quite a bit, prolly rub the fenders too. Spacers will make it worse!

Am running 215/40/17 lots of people run 205/40/17 tho max set i seen is 225 with rolled and some camber adjustments and u should get centering rings and no way u gonna put on spacers

So would it be impossible to just mount them on with no adjustments? Or is there some other way to do it? Because I'm getting the rims with tires for a good price.

You need hub centric rings to go from 74.1 -> 72.5.

Do you think they'd have any at Stance Factory? Thanks.

Pretty sure. Call/email them and ask.

i'd be surprised if stance was missing any wheel related bmw accessories, but if they are, they'll tell you where to find them. i may see you there, i need some spacers to get my winters to sit flush

the offset is all kinds of wrong

74.1 - 72.6mm rings (we stock these)
Rear fender roll (we offer this)
205/40, 205/45, or 215/40 tires

Awesome! I'll probably come in for all 3 of those things haha, but not for a while it wouldnt make sense to mount this setup in the winter.

You can't beat the price I paid for a set, which came with an e39.*rockout*
