Never heard of Nutek... Oxford on west side of Kennedy just North of Lawrence is a good shop to deal with I've bought from them before, only good products and they stand behind their work. They really know their stuff too tell them what your goal is ie SPL competition or sound quality and they will come up with a few options and give you advice to keep you within your budget... ie how to build a killer system one piece at a time so you don't break your bank account all at once.

I also haven't heard of Nutek!

Kromer closed July 2012. Mr. Kromer retired. That business is tough when you have big box stores buying volume and Kromer simply wasn't being able to stay competitive on most electronics. I'm going to miss that place.

There are two places that I recommend for car audio;

I've seen and listened to some really sharp and tight sound systems being created by Ultra Auto Sound in Mississauga. I'd also give them a try.

The other sound system place I've known for 25 years is Number One Sound on College St. just west of Dovercourt. George Ruivo is the man to see. He's old school and knows his audio. His sound system on his E39 is super tight and crisp. The gallery on his website will also show you the really cool projects he's worked on.

don't go to Nutek, the dealer I work at outsource certain work to them, they do mediocre work, nothing to write home about, we don't even use them anymore.

What is a good brand of speakers/head unit to get? That are mid to high range quality.

Quack 09-05-2013 12:38 PM

the better question is what is your budget?

Nutek is the best shop in toronto they service most. Of the bmw dealers the reason why they isn't to many reviews is because they don't deal with the public,the reason why Mr Kromer sold them the Buisness is the know they are the best in town *repost**

mikewadowski 07-19-2014 08:39 PM

ask any german car dealership it's allways Nutek
