M235i caught undisguised

The highly-anticipated BMW M235i has been spied virtually undisguised during a photoshoot.
Set to become the spiritual successor to the 1-Series M Coupe, the M235i has an evolutionary design which clearly echoes its predecessor. More notably, we can see the model will have little in common with the 1-Series that it is based on. Key styling changes include new bumpers, a revised grille and unique headlights.
While the exterior will be exclusive to the 2-Series, the interior will be heavily influenced by the 1-Series hatchback. This means the M235i will likely be equipped with Hexagon/Alcantara cloth upholstery, a sport steering wheel and Aluminum Hexagon trim with Estoril Blue or high-gloss black accents.
Like the M135i, the M235i is expected to be powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 320 HP (235 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. The hatchback accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, so expect the coupe to be a few ticks faster.
The M235i is expected to go into production in November, so an official unveiling is likely just around the corner.

I see it doesn't have those side vents like the 4 series which is good IMO.

Why is the back higher up than the front though?

About time

This may have to be the replacement for my 1 series in 2014-2015

Its going to be so easy to confuse a 1/2/3/4-series with a 1/2/3/4-series if they keep making everything look the god damn same.

nice

Is it coming to Canada or the N.American market?????

I'm surprised this hasn't generated more conversation. I actually really like the looks of it. I hope it performs on par or better than the current 135

^ Size is the difference .. the e90 is the size of the older e60 .. i wanted sometime the size of the e46 as a 3 series so this i235 would be perfect.

I liked the new look that BMW have given to this one.

Still not as sweet as an e30 or 2002.

2 series, 4 series... So confusing

I agree, while I like it I am also unimpressed on how it is all blending together now in terms of looks. And anything not the same like these X M GT whatevers they make are ugly.

It is a good generation in terms of power but how well the motors last and how ugly they can get or over expand the number of lines is yet to be seen.

IDK size wise the "old" 135 coupe seemed more on a par with the much beloved e30 series than the more recent 3 series cars were. I kind of liked their "pocket racer" characteristics even if they did'nt necessarily deliver the goods on the dyno... [the 135 that is]... if only it were possible to get a "new" car without all the SRS, automatic this, traction aide that, blah blah blah crap... what I long for is a basic 4 wheels and a seat with an actual clutch manual as God intended car with no internet connectivity nav assissted car... why oh why can I not get one anymore?
