Need help with m3 rear end swap

I need to know how much to extend the m3 driveshaft for it to work with the stock 5 speed transmission. I have the complete m3 rear end and i seem to be stuck with the length of the drive shaft

This might be an issue of trial/error by just attempting it. Depending on the situation, you can bolt up the rear end, take your measurements and have the driveshaft custom altered (http://www.patsdriveline.com/) within a day or two. Keep in mind that they're also splined which allows for a bit of movement (+/- 2"). It was nice meeting you yesterday!

I think I may have read somewhere that a 7-series drive shaft (or part of it) may work? Maybe search around for that.

Otherwise Pat's drive line looks pretty good.

After days of looking around and calling different shops no one knows the exact number so I guess I will be doing what randy sugguested and bolt up the rear end take measurements and go to pats drive line (thanks randy).
