bump for availability!

jay01_brown 03-12-2013 04:12 PM

always thought 90 and up models had the updated bumpers.....

The Twin 03-12-2013 04:15 PM

date of manufacture on this e30 is 11/89, yet was sold as a 1990 (as per VIN and date on ownership)

only the hard tops came that way post 88/89. although some 89's(late prod 88's) still had aluminum. anything pre- 91 on convertibles were aluminum. I just went to a friends who's got a 03/90 with aluminum bumpers.

It Looks Really Good With the Original Rims
Too Bad you have to let it go.

The Twin 03-12-2013 09:15 PM

Thanks Sly! I agree it looks kind of Mexican beach party with the gold wheels...I need to get pics with the Ronals on.

I would keep it if the QC ministry of transport safety check wasn't so severe, I'm moving Gatineau shortly.

It won't pass QC safety?

The Twin 03-12-2013 09:38 PM

Haven't tried. But they are brutal.
They'll fail you on headlights not being aligned, etc etc.

Most of the work done on the car was done by me(exception is hg and headwork done by Sly) but the qc ministry wants documentation of any aftermarket components installed by a licensed tech. I'm not one.

TSI 03-12-2013 09:40 PM

Damn, that's evil. Good to know.

The Twin 03-16-2013 05:55 PM
