Wheel and tire fitment for E36 1999 M3
I have a set of AC Schnitzer wheels in 8.5 x 18 size (square setup) with ET43 offset. The tires on them are 224/40R18 front and 255/35R18 rear. The tires are staggered but not the wheels. Would they fit a 99 M3, especially the wider rear tires? Thanks.

you back tires might be a tad wide also depends if you are lowered if so how much.
|
should work will need a roll at least. Are you lowered?
|
should work no problem.. if you're really low you will need a slight roll
|
You'll probably need spacers for the fronts.
Rear should work, may need a roll depending on how low. |
I didn't need spacers for my fronts... I did however have to camber in the fronts to clear my yet unrolled fenders.
I run 18x8.5 ET40 front and 18x9.5 ET45 rear 235/40 and 255/35 respectively. |
That's the reason I said probably, because it depends on his suspension setup. Some coilovers have less room up front. Also because I know 17x8.5 et41 rubs on stock struts, 18s gives slightly more room, so it will be really really close if it does fit. That 3mm that you have probably makes the difference.
The reason you had to roll the fronts is because 235/40 is slightly oversized. |
