Suspension upgrade for vert?
I bought my first e30 around 9 months ago and decided it was time to tackle to suspension. I was wondering what would be the best way to go about it on a convertible. I've seen vert specific springs and what not, some people say just use normal one, others had issues with the weight of the hardtop changing the rake. If anyone has any insight or experience on a specific set up or whatever it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help!
Use the vert specific set up, the weight is more about the double wall behind the rear seat and the roof compartment. Not a huge difference from coupe but it is slighly heavier. If you want to avoid possibility of reverse rake, put double spring pads on back, optionally none or just upper or lower on front. Use e46 m3 rear shock mounts, stronger than stock.
Okay thanks, that's good to know.
Any suggestions on what I should go with? Like H&R springs and Eibach struts or are there other combos that are known to work well? I've never done anything like this before so I want to be sure before I invest.
Thanks again for the info!
