paintless dent remover
 

hanve any of you guys used this service before ??
the other day i was driving on the 401 when the car next to me picked up one of those dam rubber debris that you sometimes find on the road and threw it right at my back door :mad:
Now i have a nice little dent (about the size of 2$ coin) and it drives me nuts.
there is absolutely no paint damage thank god but i still want to get rid of that dent.

What are my options

I have used different ones, and they do excellent work.

The dent cannot have creased the metal, obviously.

I've used Dent masters and Dent Doctor - both good.

You will be impressed with what they can do.

ive used this service on two of my vehicles, it really depends on how much experience (ie years) the dent remover has. the guy i used didnt disappoint.

i am lucky the dent is on the bottom have of the driver rear door so a straight area with no creases or anything, so it should be faery easy to straighten it out

how did you guys find their pricing ?

two vehicles with a total of 5 dings/dents cost me $140.00

I've used the big red Bondo suction cup - they work pretty well for larger round dents... not so great on creases or smaller dings from other car doors though.

I woudldcheck around you car and get a deal on any small dents.

I did a couple at Tedfest (shameles plug) 2 years ago. $100 for three...

dent master is no longer in business

p.s.... for all those who have creases and feel they're doomed, think again...
its not impossible to remove creases, IT DOES depend on the skill of the technician

just wanted to update you guys on this topic :)
my car is dent free :) and all at the price of 0$ *rockout*
today a crazy idea come to mind after watching a few dent removal videos on you tube :idea:
so i busted out my exacto knife, screw driver, rubber hammer, small crowbar, a really big screwdriver and the peace of rubber i have previously removed from my break pedal when i got new pedal covers.

first thing first i removed the door card and cut a hole in the insulation thing that is glued on the actual door, in order to gain access to the back of the door.
next thing was to cut a peace of rubber from the break pedal cover ( i choose it because it is a really thick peace of rubber) and taped it to the tip of the big screwdriver.
now all i had to do was stick my hand in the door in order to feel where the dent was from the inside, once found i placed the screwdriver dead center on the dent and gave it a few hits with the hammer.
the rubber protected the metal from any damage and the dent popped right out. *par-t*
now the door is nice and smooth the way it was before :)

Nicely done! I'll have to do the same on the e30 cab, somebody dented the rear quarter and fender.

popping the dent out is the easy part. the hard part is getting access to the right spot and being able to push it out. i had to be really careful and find a way to stuff the screwdriver at an angle because i have the window motor in the way so i did not have direct access.

in your case i think the quarter would be fairly easy if you take the tail light out and get some access from the trunk as well that will help you tremendously, but for the fender i don't really think you can do much without taking it off the car. also if the dent is on a crease it will be really hard to get it back to the way it was.

i know but when my money allocated for the dent got taken away by a ticket fcplm i had to find other solutions *th-up*
