Hey yall, names Chris. I am starting my research to drop in my Big Block 400ci from a 1970 Charger. factory specs are 418hp out of the box with 412ft/lbs, its a Flagship motor thats just an RB 383 that they bored up, but I got room to bore it up another quarter of an inch according to the local race car building shop. looking to keep it mainly stock and hold at ~500hp with ~550ft/lbs to keep it a DD.
Looking forward to reading all yalls stuff and meetin some of you. |

Should be a nice project! E36s with v8s are pretty slick
400s a BIG motor eh? |
Welcome to Maxbimmer. That's quite the engine you're gonna try to shoe-horn in there. Good luck. Start a "build thread" when u start.

Yeah it ain't no puppy. It's not much bigger than a small block but power is everything to old school dodge. I am just sick of 10mpg LS series engines. They are way over rated and don't have the choots I require to have a good P/W ratio. Go big or go home! The engine was getting 17 city when it was sitting in the charger, and it's got great HP, and isn't as heavy as a house, so it's the perfect balance of everything
