2013 Trillium Winter Gokart race series
Who- You!
What- Sick Gokarting yo When - Soon Where- GPK Why- Cause it's sick? How- well keep reading duh! http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps762ffa4c.jpg Have you ever felt like something in your life was........missing? Have you ever thought...... Could there be more to life? Is this all there is? I have the answer! http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps0bdb3138.jpg It's Gokarting. Grand Prix Kartways at Downsview (Sheppard and Keele) http://www.gpkartways.com/ These are electric karts, so none of that exhaust smell on your clothes. And did I mention GPK is licenced under LLBO? Thats right, beer and gokarts. And did I also mention they have a full kitchen? That's right. Beer, poutine, and gokarts. And that's not all, GPK has taken notice to how we conduct ourselves and the calibre of drivers that attend....So they have kindly let us use their karts using Speed 2 setting for the last 3 years. Not Speed one which the general public gets. The only groups that are allowed this setting is their own personal race series, and us. Last year Devon and Kurt smashed the track lap record. But they aren't invited back......because, I want to win this year. SO! 5 nights, Every second Sunday at 7pm sharp! SO be there at 6:40pm for registration. Jan 13th Jan 27th Feb 10th Feb 24th March 10th These dates do not fall on any holidays, valentines, superbowl sunday, your grandparents anniversary, your dog dying, or any of your kids birthdays. $50 taxes in for... 15 laps qualifying 15 laps 1st race 15 laps 2nd race. Groups are split into A B and C based on qualifying times. The faster drivers are in one group, and the slower drivers in the other groups. Bonus points are awarded if you fall into the faster groups. Your 1st race position is based on Qualifying. So if you have the fastest time in qualifying, you start 1st in your group. If you have the slowest time, you start last. Your 2nd race position is reverse grid from the first race. So if you won the first race in your group, you will start in last in the second race. If you ended up last in the first race, you start 1st in the second race. It keeps the playing field even. If you're a good enough driver, you can gain a few positions...... or not. *shiner* Points are calculated from your best 4 out of 5 nights. Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. And if you also autocross, the points you accumulate from this and autocross count towards the competition trophy. You need to be a Trillium club member to participate in the series. The annual membership fee is $62.15 (incl. tax) For non-members you can participate for one evening. If you are not a member of the Trillium club, don't worry! You can be! Follow the directions here http://trillium-bmwclub.ca/content/about-membership I will also have registration forms at the event for you lazy folk. Just bring a creditcard. This is a great event as well as a chance to chill with your buddies, or meet new people. See you there! |

Correction, Earlier I said we will be driving at speed 2, that is not the case. I meant to say we will be driving at speed 1 which is the faster speed. It is 1-2 seconds per lap faster.
Went there last night for a few hours, they have a great menu and $13 pitchers. |
working the weekend of the first event :(

Best 4 outa 5 sucks!!! Can only make the last 3 events, but it's always a good time at these events, so still totally worth coming out

Just want to confirm things. I have a co-worker that wants to try out the first event (this sunday). he doesnt want to join bmw trillium until after he does the first event, if he likes it, then he can join trillium to do the others, is this correct?
Also, is it $50, per race event? |
