I had the rust-proof service done at RMP Motors over the summer. The service was completed professionally and I was told the product is of the no-drip variety.

After I went home, however, I got the drips for more than a month after the treatment. It dripped the most down the trunk locking mechanism (down the rear bumper), down the door hinges (down to the side skirts on both sides), and up the hood from the latching mechanism (it travelled upwards as I go on the highway a lot).

Is there anything I can do to mitigate the dripping? I'm a car detailing nut and the dripping bothered me a great deal over the summer, since it's an oily substance. Thank you.

Sorry about the rust proofing dripping, we always apply more when its the first treatment, any liquid can seep when hot and may have a couple drips.

Also you can always clean off any excess with a soapy rag, it will not harm anything.

Thank you RMPMOTORS for addressing my concerns. In that case, when is the most advisable time to receive the rust-proof service in order to minimize dripping? If I get it just before winter, would the cold weather keep the product in place such that it is not as runny as in hot weather? Would it turn runny again once spring comes and start to drip again?

Thanks again.
