USA to Can cluster swap..reprograming?
 

I have a USA 525 touring and I am wanting to change the cluster to a canadian model.

I asked my dealer bout it and they said it will have to be reprogrammed.
is that true or can I just swap it out myself?

Havent discussed it in over a year but I think the cost is $$$ dollars, I want to say anywhere from $150-$500, depends. Be happy you didnt just import the car, they have a nice $500 bill for you there too, its BS but it happens when you need that magic piece of paper and daytime RL's.

What year is the car though?

It doesn't take more than 10 minutes to flip the Module from US to Canada spec. Shouldn't cost more than 50$ at a knowledgeable indy shop

i'll do it for 50$ if you want, there is nothing complicated there. EWS to IKE adaptation and other small things.

Why do you need to change the cluster? I imported the exact same car (2003) model in 2008 (may be rules have changed since then) from PA and all I did was obtain a recall clearance print out and no modification needs to be done here (except programming the DRL).
