Anyone have a single VANOS seal kit in stock locally?

Kind running on a tight schedule and would prefer to be able to pick it up off of someone privately or a vendor here.

Thanks!

There is a new double vanos kit for sale on kijiji for $60. Not sure if the seals are the same size or not?

^^^ Amazing, thanks Mark.. I will find out if I can use it, cheers!

EDIT: I got an answer back from Besian, I can't use that kit on my single VANOS

take your old seal to any decent o ring place(there are quite a few in the gta) and match it up with a viton o ring(which are common in industry)...

Id wager a lot you can find what you need....though not sure what you would do with the teflon seal part... you could also try the same idea.
Oring shouldnt be a problem...teflon seal may be.

some measurements the single vanos o ring size is M2.62X77.5 which is a european din size. (I just measured and compared my measurements to chart)
though better to compare with old unit.

the teflon seal ID is the 82.xx of the oring od.

these guys have a lot. Ive been to them for other car orings and matched things up
and they also carry a wide range of teflon seals.

If you dont do this ...Im likely to make the trip to see for myself.

I'm gonna leave it for now.. My VANOS was quiet and there is virtually no play in the unit as it is, I guess it was just kinda one of the "while I've got this apart" thing to do.

Thanks for the help guys.

Why hasn't anyone in CAN come up with own seals solution??
SiR if you have the dimensions, why don't you look into the oring and teflon seal availability from a source here in TO?

because $60 for everything besian offers is fine to most and they dont want to waste their time running around the city.

This, and I don't want to bother as I know the Besian Systems kit works.

And it's only $30 + shipping (not $60)

SiR 10-05-2012 03:51 PM

ya.. +$30 for the anti rattle + more if you get the extras.

NOTORIOUS VR 10-05-2012 04:08 PM
