Please double check my spacer spec
Hi:
The previous owner of my E90 had an E46 based winter package which he sold with the car. At first I didn't realize it was an E46 package but came to this realization shortly after completing the purchase. I can't be certain if he was able to just bolt this up and go, whether he never tried it, or whether he knew right off the bat that the offsets didn't match and maybe they don't work at all. From everything I can tell, I should be able to fit this package just fine using 13mm spacers. I could maybe go a little larger, but ~13mm should "correct" the incorrect offset and put me in an "OE fit" situation. Please confirm: The E90 wheels which came with the car: BMW style 160 8Jx17 ET 34 225/45 R17 The E46 wheels with winter tires for which I'll require spacers: BMW style 96 8Jx17 ET 47 225/45 R17 Thanks, |
Your calculation is correct. I've never seen a 13mm spacer but 15mm hubcentric 5x120 will do just fine.

If anyone has done anything similar, I'd love reassurance that I got it right. I would say from looking at my mounted Style 160s that the rear might be able to take an additional 5mm strictly for appearances. Now I'll have to see if I can find a deal on some local spacers. |
