Brake squeak after awesome ddt at bimmercruise
Well pretty much after the awesome lapping events on the way home noticed some squeaking from the brakes.. It was pretty bad the next day but noticed it was slowly going away... Still there at times.. Did they glaze over a bit?

Probably just brake dust have you power washed the car and brakes since?

Ill give it a shot tonight |
That happens to me once in a while, I usually do a brake service and it goes away.
|
I always get brake squeak after the track or if I haven't washed the car in a while it's pretty normal when you have a more serious pad. After a good wash it goes away.

hps can squeak from time to time.
try the hp+ for more dust and daily squeal. Dont sweat it. A little squeal never hurt anyone |
The rotors are glazed with brake residue.
Get a brake service done to clean them or machine them depending on how thick the rotors are. Also could be an intermittent sticky caliper, so you best service the calipers as well. I use HP+ and when braking, they squeal like a girls first time ! :D |
Lmao
Thanks all! |
Have you tried going out and doing a few heavy braking events without coming to a stop to get the glaze off?

I just picked up a set of HPS pads to use on the street so I can save the HP+ for the track and mainly because the HP+ dusts like a muthafuka and the dust is hard to clean off the rims if you leave it for too long. |
Sometimes squeaks can be the discs not being grabbed well enough by the calipers. Maybe you overheated a caliper and now it's seizing. I'd take the caliper off the mounting bracket and lube up the sliders. Check the boot around the piston for cracks or signs of rust.
