WTB - Mirrors from E38 (power fold, heated, dimming) from Shadow Line car
 

Hi

Need the housing (the Gloss Black part), mirror motor, housing motor (folding part) and all cable / plugs (which will do heating and dimming).


Do not need the outer front housing (will use mine) or the trim ring you look at. Mirror glass would also be nice however not a deal breaker. Both housing must be fully working, from a 10/1999+ car, part numbers below..

E38 mirrors had the power fold option?

News to me but if its a Euro thing I'll take a pair too.

Folding mirrors was an option in Europe, however as it was a factory specified option you never saw them in USA. Unless the car had "Shadow Line" then it had folding mirrors.

However i have since found out, all door harnesses from 09/1999 (at least for the 750iL) has the wiring for this, so i should be able to add the mirror with motors then the door button control on the driver's side, its P-Bus controlled so will work.

Dimming, is a different issue as this isnt controlled by the P-Bus system, its direct from the internal rear view mirror hardwired to the door mirrors, again 09/1999 door harness on the 750iL has the wiring for that as well (not sure about inside the car, but i think it does).

Notice the small button to the left of the slider to select which mirror, this is used to fold and unfold the mirrors...
