Clutch Alignment tool (KW area)
I'm going to be needing a clutch alignment tool to install my new clutch. Does anyone in the KW area have one that I can borrow?
And no, I'm not going to just "line it up by eye" |
I have one in Mississauga somewhere. When do you need it?
|
This weekend.

I've got one... text me if you want to borrow it. Grab it in Milton.
|
:o I thought the eye -line up was the golden standard!
I have one in the south east KW area that I'll hopefully be done with by Sunday, pm if need be! |
^ If Scott can't find his I'll be giving you a shout. Thanks.

The input shaft is my alignment tool. Poke it in, wiggle it around, give it a push. Done. Then take her out for dinner.
|
+1 for trans input shaft.
|
I can bring mine to the meet this thursday if you still need one
|
K, found mine, I left it in my mail box and I'll text you directions. If you want to use Frank's or Brian's that's fine too. Really, if the engine is out, and the tranny is out, just eyeballing it and using the input shaft works fine. Once you align it with the tool, it all gets fubar'd once you start fiddling around with the input shaft and tranny... it's right back out of alignment once you touch the shaft on the clutch plate and bang it off the bearing a couple of times. Be a man Steve. No tool. 'Brute force and ignorance' is what I always say!
