Mopar Guy thinking about switching to 2008 E60 M5

Hello everybody.

Im from Toronto and wanted to introduce myself.

I Like fast 4-Door sedans, I really do. I currently own a 2010 Chrysler 300C SRT8.

Its a great car and a looker aswell. here's a list of mods:

* AFE CAI
* Tuner CHIP
*22' RIMS
* Coilovers (with 2' drop)

But Time has passed and I wanted to make a change. I figure an E60 M5 would be fun and very different than what im currently driving.

I was hoping someone could help me. Im thinking about a 2008 that is pictured here:

It has about 91000kms, looks great and the interior Leather is good as well.
It has some obvious Mods:

*Lowered suspension
*Dual CAI
*Murdered OUT 19' wheels

Im planing on taking it to RMP motors for a pre purchase inspection.

The Question is: There are a couple of extra unlabeled buttons in the car and I was wondering what they would be for?

A small Black button just above and to the Left of the shifter:

and two switches under the steering column:

I ask the Sales person he doesn't know and not surprisingly does not allow me to talk to the previous owner about it. Im thinking it might be for a police radar scanner but I dont think ouy need a button and 2 switches to operate it.

Does anyone know what they are for?

Any help would be appreciated. as well as any advice for a hopeful soon-to-be E60 M5 owner.

Don't buy it.

Or get the UVIP and contact the previous owner and ask him.

And here are some other options unless you like buying from shady dealers...

agree. They should be open to all information. Other than that.. I recently switched over to an E39 M5.. love it for the power, room and driving comfort. not to mention, it can take the wife and our newborn no problem.. actually, sometimes the boot is tricky when putting in the stroller. I took 3 buddies last weekend out to Lindsay and they have TONS of room in the back, so I know the kid will be able to grow into it!

That E60 is a rarity in itself. Being NA in all.

Keep searching around cause there re plenty of nice one around.

Your current 300C is way nicer. Don't get an e60. Especially a SMG one.

Ditto

I assume you want something fairly new so kind of sucks right now tbh.

The E39 M5 is a fantastic car!

Thanks for the replies and advice.

I just figured out that the car has an upgraded exhaust aswell.
I'm thinking those switches underneath the steering column is for cutouts on the exhaust

I know that there is an aftermarket exhaust for the 300 with cuts-outs to increase the volume of the sound.

Is there something similar available for e60s M5s?
