New Member, new BMW owner
 

Hi guys

I'm new to this forum and new to BMW, all my past cars have been japanese with the exception of 1 mistake (1996 chev beretta).

I bought a cpo bmw 328i convertible from a dealership, and I'm picking it up tomorrow, black with grey leather interior, usb, and bluetooth, RFT.

Dealer offered me the following:

1. coverageone extended warranty
2. road hazard warranty
3. diamondkote paint protection
4. leather protection
5. 3m nose protection
6. rust device (dk9000)

I declined all and picking it up in 2 days, so I still have time to change my mind.

What do you guys think? Any tips for a new BMW driver who's used to Acuras? Any advice about the above packages?

I would have declined all as well. All of those things minus the extended warranty can be done at anytime somewhere else when you feel the need for it. I think you got yourself a beautiful first bmw, so grab it, and enjoy it!*th-up*

I will. One other note, I was torn between the 328i and the 335i. The drive of the 335i was quite a bit more exciting. But when I got insurance quotes, I decided to stick with the 328i (I refuse to spend $320 a month on insurance)

328i is about $180 a month for insurance.

Dude get the 3m protection. You'll thank yourself in a few years when you peel it off to replace it and the front of your car looks brand new!
