Avoid BMWallparts.com at all costs... they're insane!

I emailed them in regards to this Kijiji ad:

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ368010624

I figure I'd see what they would want for the complete M52B28, apparently it has something missing from the motor and they had to take apart the head.

Fine... I email asking how much for the complete motor and what part is missing from it.

I get a reply

I normally would ignore a retarded reply like that, but I had to tell him how much of a crazy person he is for asking that much for a SHORT BLOCK and that I would be posting this in some forums to let people know to avoid them.

Some peoples kids *drink*

They are arrogant F***S. I tried asking for a price on E36 doorpanels and he wouldn't gave a straight answer.

I would avoid these guys, they think their salvage cars have GOLD in them.

FYI, this is Chuck's Auto, prices are high because they have the customers who pay that...

BMW_M_POWER 05-15-2012 05:47 PM

The owner is not Chuck anymore. Business was sold to these guys about 2 years ago

Eurostyle 05-15-2012 06:16 PM

Chuck still runs the shop, I just bought an X5 from him this morning!

I also didn't get a straight answer from these guys about fenders. "Uhhhh ill have to look ill call you back" no callback, try 3 or 4 times and the same thing. Physically went down there ad Chuck was there (ot the guy I was talking to) gave me great service. No fender though.

wow, that's nuts. I paid 400 for engine, trans, driveshaft, all electronics/acc, and steering rack. Just look around and message people who've been selling for a while with no offers.

Same thing happened to me; called and Dave had no clue what was going on, so i just went in persone and Chuck got things done.

How much do these motors go for anyways? I'm pulling mine out shortly and I'll be selling it possibly, unless I get an e30 to throw it in.

That kinda of explains it... and actually his reply to my email was just that.

This was his reply "Funny, I sold two this week. I guess people just like dealing with us and are willing to pay a little more."

What an idiot. Just because some people are dumb and don't know what they are paying does it mean it's right to price gouge.

$950 for a bare short block is insane.

You're a business Philip, and I see you have a complete motor for sale for $850 even.

That said I picked up a 150k km M50B25 motor complete w/ harness for $450 delivered from a private party.

went to Chucks not a while ago, got me some extra parts for a really good price. no complaints here!

WTF are you talking about. I suppose you like to pay out of your ass for things that are over priced. Cool that's completely your choice.

But are you saying you would pay $950 for a short block and be ok with it?

You do know what a short block is right?

E36is 05-17-2012 04:56 PM

^^ fyi, richie s999 is in the business of disassembling cars and selling the parts, so with that said, $950 is a template for profit for these parts guys.

Ah well that makes more sense then why he would defend such an absurd price.

Carry on.
