I think I am going to go for new bilsteins.. but I keep reading they are stiff.. and some say they are not.. this is my daily driver and I am not sure what I want. I guess I don't want it too stiff.. tbh I am just confused :)

BimmerBoys 05-02-2012 06:24 PM

Once you start lowering the car it'll be stiff no matter what. It's really a matter of trade offs. If you want a lowered look and a better feel than lower away, if you want a nice comfy ride, just stay stock!

Personally I like lowered e36s it just seems to me like there is too much gap up front!

knightowl 05-03-2012 05:34 PM

I agree I do too.. the gap in the front wheel well is huge .. I don't necessarily want a comfy ride, but I know when the gf goes in my car she thinks its a rough ride already... probably because the shocks are blown!

bump> will consider trades for style 5s

Giormelo 05-24-2012 05:23 PM

Would these fit a 5/95 318is?

BimmerBoys 05-24-2012 05:37 PM

Negative, 6 cylinder shizat only.

I could find you a new set, if you're interested.

Giormelo 05-24-2012 09:34 PM

I am interested, but what is the difference between 4 cyl suspension and the 6? I thought the onyl difference was between the M3 and the regular 3 series

BimmerBoys 05-24-2012 09:40 PM

Yes there is quite a difference, primarily due to the weight of the 4cyl compared to the 6cyl. The 318 would sit higher on these then a 328i.
