Import Question for Vintage BMW

I am looking at a 1972 2002 in Florida to bring back to Canada :

I have researced the threads and haven't seen an answer:

Do I still have to pay 6.1% duty on a 40yr old car.
Do I need DRL's on a car that old.

Thanks for the help.

I imported a car from California in October. A 1985. Yes, you still have to pay duty, age doesn't matter. If the car wasn't manufactured in the US, you will have to pay it. Any car older than 15 years old is exempt from DRL and any other federally mandated changes.

The whole process is explained here: www.riv.ca

Be patient, take your time and read the whole thing.
