delrin shift carrier bushings

Anyone comment on whether these actually improve the shifter ?

Well sure, it certainly takes care of the slop that the rubber has. How many bushings are you doing? Just the carrier bushing, or the shifter to selector bushing as well (replacing shift lever)? also, the rubber carrier bushing on the body of the car should be replaced as well, otherwise you're not really doing anything productive. There's also a foam bushing in the selector on the transmission that wears out and causes play, so really, there are 4 pieces that wear out on the shifters. Both carrier bushings, and both bushings at the ends of the selector rod, one of those being the shift lever itself.
