LF: BMW E30 Convertible

hi guys!

i'm looking for an accident and rust free, clean, non-repainted, manual gearbox
E30 convertible. has to have leather and be as stock as possible. anything near
toronto would make it easier, but i might even consider a US car if it's worth it.

PM me with your offer and details! *th-up*

*wave*

ahuh...u and the rest of the world...lol how much are you willing to spend for such a specimen?

testdriver 03-17-2012 03:19 PM

i'm not alone, i know. this one would be perfect if it was stick shift: click!

Ceeker 03-17-2012 03:29 PM

yeah, that's been up for a while now..actually about a year. Looks like a nice one..but the price reflects this. 6k. and I would say for that, it's worth it.
of course, but that is why it is still up for sale. Because it is auto. If it were stick, it would be owned by someone already. The swap can get expensive.
looking at 500.00 in parts + installation. 2k later.

testdriver 03-18-2012 12:39 AM

that long already? wow. i might have to do a swap if i can't find one soon
(have been looking for a while). $1500 should do it i find a cheap donor car.
or i'll just bring one from germany: click! :D

Ceeker 03-18-2012 08:56 AM

well, if you have between 1000-1500 to do international freight. then yeah. but, just because you go to Germany doesn't mean you'll find a rust free one either. :-) You might as well accept the fact that unless you are going to do the job yourself or know someone that can help you'll be spending about 2k to do the swap parts incl. So take the price you pay for car + swap. Keep in mind, not matter how "mint" an e30 is. it will require some work. they are 20+ years old...even the one on kjiji will most likely need some minor repair.

an import would cost me quite a bit more than $1500, but it might be worth
trying right now with the canadian dollar beign strong. getting car(s) checked
over there is no big deal, since i am from germany and i have imported vehicles
into canada before. it doesn't make it any easier that i am so picky about colour
and the condition though haha

you've had quite a lot of E30s. is one of your current ones a stick shift?
