Bill C-11 Passing in 72 hours, SIGN THE PETITION NOW!
Not a joke, and there is no reason why anyone should want to support taking away their own rights with bill c-11.

I am not signing this, the liberal amendment to this bill doesn't make it any better. The biggest problem with the bill is the pressure it puts on ISP's.
Oh well, guess i can kiss my 14ms ping time goobye and run all my non XBL/voip traffic through VPN. |

that petition is FOR c-11, just with the liberal amendment.

I am stretching here a bit but if you are against the whole bill i probably wouldn't sign it, as it gives the wrong impression, since by supporting the liberal amendment you are actually supporting the bill (provided it is amended before it sees a vote).
Canada has been too cool with the internets for too long. I couldn't believe when net neutrality got status. For those that dont know, "net neutrality" means it is ILLEGAL for your ISP to block OR THROTTLE any connection/traffic in any way at all. |

My biggest concern with this bill is a pathway to internet censorship and i think the biggest thing the internet has done for the world was to open up eyes towards so many heated world issues from both sides of the spectrum, for and against. That, and free porn. jk |
Bill C-10 passed in Canada! I'm going to Jail & so are you!
vid lays out the details on how this combined with C-11 & C-30, while pulling $15billion away from social programs to go into jails - will have everyone locked up for something, anything. |
so is it going to pass and should I get a VPN?

If all you are doing is downloading music / movies, i probably wouldn't worry about it. If you are uploading anything then yes. Torrents generally count as uploading.
Almost everyone steals intellectual property online. If you dont, you're likely not in my generation. |

great, welcome to socialist mongering media feeding canada. I might as well cancel my internet at this point, since this is more then copyright, this is their way of being able to censor sensitive information. Freedom of speech, gone.
