Zender Turbo, phase 1. If you don't want them, I'll take them. Good luck finding caps... these thing are oooold school.

Yeah I would, and then flip them to the VeeDub boys!!*th-up* Surely they know of caps from something else that would fit (caps off P-Slots or Teardrops might work).

See, the VW guys love this shit! (at least they did back in 1985):

Its not a hole but it looks like the cover screw got stuck and it was ripped off, very badly ...... but definitely want to restore them. have not decided whether to go black or stock, but I'm pretty sure the rim shop on Caledonia will have a solution - they quoted $400 for the refinishing and I will ask if they can throw in some fab covers/similar solution if possible -
wow btw thanks alot guy..... good stuff

You effectively brought black to a screeching halt .... thanks dude, polished or white seems nice just worried a lil over da duyt, so maybe polished (price will determine winner)

egye30 02-28-2012 04:25 PM

Yeah white rims are a pain to keep clean. But look awesome when they are.. you can also polish them yourself if you got time and patience.. or you can pay me and I might do them :p

E30M42cab 02-28-2012 06:56 PM

Cleaning those rims is going to be a bitch no matter what finish you decide on. Silver paint is definately too boring though. you've seen what the newer Zender Turbo's look like, right?

e30sequel 02-28-2012 08:13 PM

WOW ..... Ronal are slightly sicker - schmidt kills both - need to get these 16-17 ....sets of each ........nice

E30M42cab 02-29-2012 12:18 AM

If you think the Ronal Turbo is "slightly" sicker, you're need to look at the "Ronal Racing Magnesium 3pc splits". Schmidt TH's are terrible looking. They're just meant for MKII VW's to play dress-up. They're for the guys who can't find Ronal splits. Oh, and you can get Zender Turbo's in 16".
