After Installed Does It Stay Stationary Or Slide Into The Existing Space?

540guy 02-19-2012 06:13 PM

It stays stationary, doesn't slide in.

Apparently it will sag a bit downwards over time from the heat of sunlight. According to hearsay on other forums.

I never liked that location b/c the climate control sensors are there. I always thought the engineers did that intentionally since drinking (anything) while driving is a no-no in Germany.

MLue1 03-05-2012 12:49 AM

I ordered one tonight!

beem3r 03-06-2012 12:33 PM

I ordered one of these Feb 28th, and still have not received it. When I track it, it says last location Miami, which is strange because it shipped from Georgia. It's been like that since Feb 29th.

For those that have ordered it, how long did it take to reach you?

momax_powers 03-06-2012 09:45 PM

i ordered mine feb 19 n got it early last week

Wouldn't you know it, it showed up today.

This is my daily driver, and soon there's gonna be a kid in the back, so no liquids is kind of out of the question. There is absolutely no liquids in my M3 though lol.

Plus, I'm always thirsty, so I need something more useful than what bmw put there.

Yup, had 3M tape on the bottom. I'm happy with it for $20 bucks. I was able to drive in to work today without having my hand on my coffee the entire time!
