Is there a kit/installation guide for E83 X3?
|
Hello Nosrac,
Unfortunately, the LUX H8 V3 will not work on the X3 as it uses a different light source than an H8 bulb for the angel eye rings. Cheers, Ross |
Anything on the market that will work for a E83 X3 (LCI 2008)
|
There are several after market led rings that you can buy, but they look pretty tacky in my opinion. If you want a classy look, it will cost you some money. The best out there are from http://ossdesigns.net/ You need to send your headlights down to them in the U.S., they then take them apart and install them and put them back together, then send them back to you. Not sure if you want to go to that expense and time but it is likely your best looking option.
Hope this helps. Ross BimmerEyes Inc. |
Thanks, but I have a 2008 LCI X3si - which includes the halo rings already, they are just that dim yellow colour. I thought I could just replace the bulb with something brighter and whiter.

The X3 is unique when it comes to the halo ring lighting. It doesn't use the usual H8 bulb to drive the rings. It uses a different light source which is not identified in the owner's manual as something that can be replaced other than the OSS Designs type option.
Cheers, Ross |
Oh, that's too bad - I was hoping for a plug & play solution - you're right, I don't want to go that route if its so involved. Thanks though.
