Bmw 135i what do you think of them?
Looking for a car and found a sweeet deal on a 135i, I Drove friends 128 few times and loved it so much fun around town.
What you guys think of 135i, I know its small but I feel comfy in it, PLus with a chip it can be pushed to 400hp and 400 trq. Any known problems with it? |
Prolly HPFP issues for sure.
|
translate it please? HPFP? Some kind of a pump? The car has only 20.000 kms. its an 2009.

Fuel pump Injectors Turbo failure due to wastegate actuators Overall, don't let those issues fool you out of a good car - in which they are. No one stopped buying Toyotas after the gas pedal incident. If you are the type to go in and out of cars within a year or so, just grab it and have fun - you will definitely enjoy it! The later models were fitted with the N55 engine, which ups the ante as well if staying relatively stock. |
well basically its a leasetakover, Its very low payments. so yeah Im gonna ripp it for a year and then let it go i guess.

I haven't met a single person that has purchased a 135i that has not been 100% satisfied with it. I really love the power vs weight ratio, is a great little machine. I'm a big guy, so its too small for me, but I would recommend a 135i to anyone that is contemplating it as their next car. |
Hey hows AA tune? Why didnt you go with jb4 tune? your coupe is 335?
|
Bought a 135 a few weeks ago, absolutely love it. I don't have a sinle complaint other than it would be nice to have a boost gage.
Very fun car to drive and if it's an 09 it will still be covered under warrenty. |

cant you get a boost gauge and hook it up?
i know it might be different from bmw twin turbo system.. but my buddy hid his boost gauge inside the driver side vent, its super stealth and colour matches his stock needles . |

Vlad, JB and AA have similar product but they are entirely different. They are both ECU software modifications. An ECU tune is loaded through the OBD2 port and is downloaded to the ECU, this makes it non switchable from the user. The JB4 is a piggy back unit which is wired into the harness, while this does add more features like valet modes, user switchable maps, anti lag settings etc this is not the 'proper' way of tuning a car. On paper, the piggy backs may perform in terms of HP and TQ but it does not drive as good as a real ECU tune. If you are interested in the AA tune, we load them in house and have great pricing on it (what we did for Havok and many others). The boost gauge is what I would prefer too, we have the same unit Noodles101 mentioned and it works great. Why take away features from the dash you can use, when this is clean and stealthy as well? |
well if everything works out i'd be definitely looking into adding another 100 hp. But from what I understand jb4 is untraceable if unplagged.
