Free glasses for occularly-challenged

http://www.clearlycontacts.ca/glasse...leGlasses.html

They have like 800 frames that are free, with free lenses. Shipping is around 14$. Canada only. Coupon code is FIRSTPAIRFREE at checkout.

I got this deal last time (paid extra ~20$ for tinting, prescription shades worked out to 38$.) Other than being a happy customer, no affil. Only on till Nov 23.

how do i view just the free frames?

Edit. Shit i don't know my prescription...

propr'one 11-19-2011 01:39 PM

You have to know your prescription (three values for O.S. and O.D) as well as your pupilary distance (this is basically how far apart your eyes are, you can measure this accurately in the mirror with a ruler)

Lots of places will give you a free eye exam if you come in and look for glasses. Many places dont require you actually buy anything.

that's insanely cheap! I knew the markups are huge...except like clothing i'd rather try on the frames to see if it suits style/face...

^^for 12$? if you hate them or they dont fit throw them out. (Or return/exchange them, you're allowed 1 free return on promo purchases)

Half the people on here are glasses-wearing poindexters, i'm sure someone will want to take advantage.

I'm doing this tonight and using them as my "I don't care if these break while playing sports" glasses. Thanks for the heads up Ivan!

This is back on this weekend. I paid 16$ for my last pair including fedex 3 day shipping. They no longer offer 20$ tinting.

The code this weekend is FIRSTPAIRFREECA

How do you tell which ones are free, or what you'll actually pay? Is it a specific discount?

If you follow the link in the first post, it will only show free glasses.

If you just go to the homepage, all glasses are free except those that say "Premium Frame, Not eligible for first pair free promo".

Ordered two pairs using two addresses, we'll see how they are. I figure being free they're going to come with lenses of bulletproof thickness, but for the price can't complain.

propr'one 02-18-2012 06:27 PM

The standard lenses that are free are 1.5 index lenses. They will be the same thickness as all other 1.5 index glasses in your size/prescription. You can upgrade to thinner lenses if you'd like.

calegrant 02-22-2012 08:17 PM

Very happy these were free as both pairs I ordered were not only off from my prescription, but neither were the same as the other pair they produced. Shitty online company is shitty. Going to some kid in Africa I guess!
