I'm sure this is a blast for some, but thought I'd post for any one still looking for good shops in TO.

I went to 20Hz Audio (Frankie). Dude does GREAT work, got my car done there, BUT no matter where you go, DO YOUR RESEARCH first!!! These guys work on high-end cars, but are not BMW specialists. It's in YOUR best interest to know the intricacies of your car, so you can inform/remind the installer.
For example, I had to 'remind' Frankie about tapping a good wire for a constant 12V for my aftermarket head unit (BMWs have wires that stay live after turning off the car, but are not true constant 12V connections).

Also, STAY AWAY from Kennedy HiFi. Those guys offer the WORST SERVICE EVER! They have the "I know what I'm doing, so stop asking me questions about your install" attitude, even when you have options that you want to run by them (i.e. mic placement for speakerphone units, they put it in the WORST spot on my bro's 350z Roadster, and before the install, we tried to talk to him about it, and he was just not interested in talking at all).
To make matters worse, after installing the equipment, my bro (350Z) had some serious engine noise from his system. Kennedy HiFi wanted more money to investigate, even though this was directly resulting from the job they just did. Just STUPID!!

Frankie @ 20Hz fixed the engine noise in my bro's car, moved the mic, without charging extra when my bro went to see him for some other work.

Those cowboys at Kennedy HiFi definitely have some attitude issue. If you drive a car that's not up to their standard, you'd probably won't get any attention from them.

That kind of attitue doesn't work in the retail industry IMHO unless you are Steve Jobs.

My recommendations:

John @ Soundscape Electronics in Woodbridge
George/Diane/Joey/Reggie @ Number 1 sound on College St

This was done by John @ Soundscape. nice and clean.
Hes been there since 1993.

Audio Illusions in Oakville deals with high end cars (I've dealt with them many times and never let me down)

If people are still looking for good audio shops, I have an update.
My previous post raves about Frankie @ 20hz. He does great work, but customer service and responsibility/accountability are not his strong suits. I could go into detail about the things that I've had to put up with dealing with him, but the short of it is I won't go back.

I have since found a great installer, Biggie, who happens to work at the Future Shop at Queensway and Kipling. Normally you'd want to stay away from FS as the employees generally don't know jack, but with Biggie you're in good hands.
Not to mention his work is backed by a solid FS warranty and all the perks that come with that (I think they'll uninstall for free when you sell your car, etc.).

Recommended install shop for ICE

Their quality of work is excellent with workmanship that ranks amongst the top in the industry. Very detailed oriented with very high technical knowledge. Highly recommended.
