e30 diff in an e36

I've lost the link, but apparently there is an adapter for the front to bolt in an e30 diff into an e36, anyone know how this is done ?

I don't know how that would work. Also the e30 diff only has one mounting point on the rear cover, the e36 has two.

I'm pretty sure the covers are interchangeable. Anyone know for sure ?
