Simoniz polisher?

I just purchased a Simoniz polisher from part source because it is so cheap
($29.99) Is it safe to use? or should I refound this and buy some proper one?

This is my first time polishing

it's ok if you are a novice...if it revolutions are not that fast you'll be safe to not harm the paint..anything more professional should require experience using.. you can easily ad and extra 9 to then end of that purchase for one that is pro. :-) Makita or Milwakee are the two brands I am familiar with.

Well...it's as good as you can get for the price. Most people reccomend a porter cable but thats 5 times the price or more...although it is MUCH better.

As mentioned, a $29 polisher won't work anywhere near as well as a Porter Cable one, which I have. That works great with various grades of polishing compunds. The cheap ones will probably be OK for lightly buffing the car but not for removing scratches etc.
