A buddy of mine from Michigan came up this past weekend to detail his car. He's also a detailer so we did this one together. We ended doing 3 steps of paint correction (compound, polish, finishing polish) because with the two of us it would not take as long compared to one.

Here are some shots of the car outside. Getting a look at the paint in the sun to see what were dealing with..

Some pretty decent swirling, but mainly there were a lot of deep scratches that you will see better in later pics.

Brought it inside and washed then clayed it.

The wheels had years of caked on brake dust, they came pretty clean though. Befores:

Exhaust tips were really dirty too, they cleaned up nicely, but some areas were too far gone.

Now that the paint was washed, clayed and dried, we started on the compounding and polishing steps. Here are some 50/50's followed by some before and afters.

Interior carpets were cleaned, and everything else was vacuumed and wiped down and then protected as well. Interior was already in really good condition. Here it is after:

ryane39m5 01-30-2011 11:07 PM

We used PC7424XP with M105/205 and then Menzerna PO85RD topped with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant and after it cured topped with Poorboys Natty Blue paste wax. Wheels we used P21S wheel gel, and DP gloss tire gel. Windows got DP Krystal Vision. Clayed with DP clay and ONR clay lube.
