Custom Carbon Fiber wrapped coupe interior set
Hi;
Thought I'd post some pictures of a custom wrapping project I've done for a buddy that has a e46 coupe. Interesting thing is he wanted me to wrap the entire front armrests in carbon fiber. I've only done the top halves for other guys and this was the first entire armrest wrap. He also has a custom double DIN bezel he's made that isn't quite finished yet, so I'll hold off posting those pictures.....(in process CF wrapping is never flattering LOL). Think the armrests came out real slick! Wasn't sure when he requested it, but i think they'll look sick when installed. Here's some pictures of the finished parts (last pic has some e36 trim I'm finishing too; snuck in picture). http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/a...0123-00451.jpg http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/a...0123-00449.jpg http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/a...0123-00450.jpg http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/a...0123-00452.jpg http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/a...0123-00456.jpg http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/a...0123-00454.jpg http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/a...0123-00457.jpg |
Finally received the installed trim pictures.... I think it came out rather nicely......

I think I might add that to the list. Just need to get the car out of the garage. Lol
|
You're probably one of the first to express interest and I seem to be wrapping everyone elses parts first.... LOL

Those arm rests turned out real nice. It'll be interesting to see how much it wears down as it gets touched all the time. Once the clear wears down do you have a process to recondition the finish?
|
Clear shouldn't from normal use. Mine have been installed over a year ago now and I put over 50K km/yr and they show no signs of wear I smoke and drink coffee, etc in the car when on the road, so the interior gets alot of wear and tear and still nothing.
If by some chance it does wear or need to be "repaired", it's just a quick sand and re-spray, but I really don't expect much of any of that to be happening.... |
